This small temple-like monument was donated by P. Vedius Antoninus Sabinus and, according to an architectural inscription, honors Emperor Hadrian (AD 117-138). In front of the monument’s cult room, there is a column arrangement with a so-called Syrian-style fronton. Additionally, on the lintel above the door, there are reliefs referring to the founding myth of the city of Ephesus. These reliefs belong to a renovation made in the Late Antique Period.
Around AD 300, statues of Emperors Diocletian, Constantius, Maximian, and Theodosius I were erected next to this monument, and the inscribed bases of these statues have survived to the present day. (Anonymous)
