This small temple-like monument, donated by P. Vedius Antoninus Sabinus, honors Emperor Hadrian (AD 117–138) according to an architectural inscription. The column arrangement in front of the cult room carries a fronton of the type known as Syrian. The reliefs on the door lintel, referring to the founding myth of the city of Ephesus, belong to a renovation from the Late Antique Period. Around AD 300, statues of Emperors Diocletian, Constantius, Maximian, and Theodosius I were erected here, and their inscribed bases have survived to the present day. (Anonymous)
